Red Carpet Galore BAFTA 2014

We are currently in the most fashionable period of the year for Britain. Along with London Fashion Week and the Brit Awards, various stars gloriously descended on BAFTA's red carpet, held at the Royal Opera House on the 16th of February. From curve-hugging gowns to smart trousers, the British Oscars were a bit of a mix-bag. Many celebrities decided to give the BAFTAs a complete miss. Here are a few of the red carpet images.

American Hustle beauty, Amy Adams chose to arrive in a sleek and slender, black dress by the oh-so-posh British designer, Victoria Beckham. I love the zip detailing and the satin plus crepe blend on the upper body.

The entire crowd came to a standstill when Brangelina made their way to the red carpet wearing matching suits. Angelina Jolie wore a slim cut tux designed by Saint Laurent with a buttoned-down white shirt and satin bow tie. Although Jolie embraced a sharp yet relaxed look, I think a huge star like her can certainly afford a better hair stylist!

Cate Blanchett hit the red carpet in a very simple black gown designed by Alexander McQueen. The dress had large floral patterns on the sides. I think this outfit could have been paired with better accessories to lift up Blanchett's entire look.

On the other hand, Fearne Cotton also stood out at the star-studded award event, but for all the wrong reasons. I think she decided to purchase her outfit from a sofa/curtain fabric shop (a 1980 Scassi gown from WilliamVintage!!!) The goth black nail polish also did not seem to go with the dress at all. The only thing good about her look was her smokey-eye makeup and curled bob hairstyle.

Gillian Anderson gracefully walked at the red carpet event wearing a slightly puffed strapless vintage gown by Balmain. More than agent Scully's dress, my eyes went straight on her stunning blue sapphire necklace and earrings by Adler.

Josephine De La Baume was spotted wearing a simple but gorgeous tulle cover gown over a navy slip dress by Marios Schwab. Her lovely hairstyle compliments the entire look.

The Les Miserables starlet, Samantha Barks was seen in a strapless vanilla column gown by Calvin Klein. With such a minimal look I think she should opted for an emerald and diamond choker set rather than the old/boring beaded necklace.

Poison Ivy, Uma Thurman, was looking super sexy and, as usual, fierce an all-black Atelier Versace dress. She wore this dress with a cropped tux jacket to brave the cold weather in London. This statuesque dress accentuates the 43 year old's curves and the elegant diamond necklace just worked perfect with it. The messy hair updo and the barely there make up gives Uma the perfect effortless look!
