Salvatore Ferragamo SS 2015 Daria Werbowy & Arthur Gosse

It’s a hatrick for Daria Werbowy as she returns to be the muse for Salvatore Ferragamo for their Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign. Supermodel Arthur Gosse also stars for this this luxe campaign shot by photographers Mert Alan and Marcus Piggot.

The ad images show the models lounging by a serene pool of an urban house. It’s surprising how effortlessly creative director, Massimiliano Giornetti, has presented the infusion of the brand’s heritage and its contemporary edge. For years, the designer has been creating bespoke accessories for Hollywood celebrities. This campaign carries forward his legacy as Daria is seen wearing some shoes from the designer's archives (black sculptured flatforms and the nude iconic rainbow wedge).

With tan, gold and green being the predominant colours in this collection, snakeskin and panelling have also been emphasised on quite a bit. However, I do feel that this collection is missing a strong palette of summery colours and some playfulness with prints as it comes across as very basic and almost without any oomph factor to it.

On the other hand, the menswear modelled by Arthur Gosse seems to have more of the prints and colours than that expected from the womenswear. With the teal bag fully complimenting the pool behind Gosse, the black sandals also make the entire mood of campaign very casual and light.
