Chanel Pre-Fall 2015 Campaign

Austria: a place where the hills came alive with ‘The Sound of Music’; where Joseph Madersperger invented the sewing machine; and where Coco Chanel found her inspiration for the ‘Chanel Jacket’ in the 50’s. In order to pay a tribute to Coco’s legacy, Karl Lagerfeld embarked on a jaunt to Austria last December for the pre-fall runway event and after much waiting, we (finally!!!) have a glimpse of the brand’s pre-fall’15 campaign shoot.

After the success of their short film for Channel called ‘Reincarnation’, Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams are paired again by Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld as Emperor and Empress of Austria. Also starring is six year old Hudson Kroenig in traditional lederhosen. The trio are captured wearing the Austrian inspired ‘Paris-Salzburg’ collection which consists of cable sweaters; knee-high and over-the-knee laced up boots; floral/edelweiss appliqu├ęs and embroideries; chunky woollen jackets and caplets.

Personally, I love the collection and also love the whole Austrian theme but don’t you think Pharrell looks more like the Joker from a deck of cards and Cara like a goth chic rather than rulers of Austria?!?
